Leyton has been working in the funeral sector since he was 19 years old, learning his wealth of experience and knowledge from the Coop Funeralcare. Leyton leads the YOLO team with a refreshingly innovative edge and unmatched dedication. His passion for his work stems from “being involved with the families and turning a dark, tough time into something bright and memorable”.
Leyton is married to Sam, the YOLO Administration Assistant. Sam and Leyton have five beautiful children together. Life is busy but Leyton’s dedication and determination shines through!
Leyton’s best piece of advice he ever received is to “take the risk and leap of faith”. Leyton’s passion for people and support from his family is why YOLO Funeral Services was born.
Sam has been working within the funeral sector for two years. Not afraid to get her hands dirty, Sam started her working life learning the hairdressing trade before starting her own cleaning company. Superwoman by nickname and by nature, Sam has five beautiful children with Leyton.
Busy but balancing, Sam is learning the tricks of the trade in accounting with the aim to expand her role into these responsibilities. The support between Leyton and Sam is evident as they continue to push each other to achieve their goals as both parents and colleagues.
Sam’s favourite part of the job is “seeing satisfied customers, happy and well looked after”. The best piece of advice Sam ever received was to “jump and enter the funeral industry. I can now see just how rewarding it is”.
I have 15 years in the industry, working my way up from a driver and a funeral service operative I like to think I know my trade.
I love the wildlife and being out in the great outdoors my favourite animal is the stag and I love a Red Robin. My favourite time of year is Christmas and I think about Christmas 24/7 and all year round.
I love spending time with my family my dog Cilla and my friends as this is so precious to me to make lots of memories .
